Ian has over 15 years accounting, banking and corporate advisory experience across a range of industries including power and utilities, oil and gas services, engineering and mining services, marine and harbour side services, mine projects, manufacturing, transport & logistics, petroleum retailing, hospitality, property construction/development and retailing. He has advised clients on a variety of transactions including public and private debt capital raisings, project financings (debt and equity) and provided tailored capital advice to support their strategic endeavours.

Prior to founding Leeuwin Capital Partners, Ian established and managed KPMG’s WA Debt Advisory service offering within the Corporate Finance division and has prior to this, held numerous senior roles with National Australia Bank in WA.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Masters in Applied Finance (Corporate Finance and Advisory).

Ian is a Non-Executive Director of Aecor Pty Ltd, a member of the WA Regional Council of Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) and a past Chairman of FINSIA’s Young Finance Professionals Committee.

With domestic and international banking and property development experience, Mark has been providing valuable services for over 20 years to clients operating in a variety of sectors. Sectors where Mark has gained deep industry knowledge and insights include mining and oil & gas services, natural resources, energy, property, transport, wholesale trade, healthcare, seniors living and engineering.

Prior to founding Leeuwin Capital Partners, Mark held senior roles with CBA and HSBC as well as Property Finance Manager for Hawaiian Management Group, one of Western Australia’s largest property investment and development groups.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Banking and Finance), a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment (Corporate Finance major), Master of Business Administration (Entrepreneurship and Innovation specialisation) from the University of Western Australia, and is a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of FINSIA.

Justin has over 20 years banking and corporate advisory experience working across a broad range of industries including financial services, mining and oil & gas services, logistics, IT services, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, automotive, property and telecommunications.

Prior to founding Leeuwin Capital Partners, Justin’s roles included Director-Corporate Banking at Westpac Institutional Bank and London based positions with Bank of America and global consulting firm Kroll (now AlixPartners).

Justin holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Justin is a Non-Executive Director of Kidsafe WA and has previously been a member of the Westpac Foundation WA Community Leadership team, WA Regional Council of FINSIA and was a WA Committee Member of the Turnaround Management Association.

Ian has over 16 years of banking experience gained at international banks in Australia across institutional, leverage and structured debt transactions.

He has worked across a range of sectors and industries including engineering services, telecommunications, healthcare and education. ​

Prior to Leeuwin, Ian has held senior roles in the Global Corporate and Investment Banking team at MUFG Bank and Corporate and Structured Finance team in Lloyds Bank (previously HBOS Australia).

Rob Hunt

Director – Natural Resources

Rob has over 17 years of domestic and international banking and financial markets experience covering a diverse range of sectors including retail, healthcare, mining and engineering services, property, energy, oil & gas and natural resources.

Prior to joining Leeuwin Capital, Rob has held senior roles within the CBA Institutional Banking and Markets division across both Global Markets (Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Risk Management) and Institutional Banking as a Director in the Natural Resources and Energy business.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UWA and a Diploma of Financial Markets (AFMA).

Trevor Connell

Consultant – Natural Resources

Trevor has held several senior roles in the WA banking sector over the past 20 years. In that time he has lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver corporate financing solutions to clients, large and small in the energy and mining industry.

Prior to this, Trevor had 20 year's experience in the mining industry. He worked in WA, NSW and NT in several base and precious metal mines, open cut and underground in a variety of technical, supervisory and management roles.

Stewart Findlay

Consultant – Natural Resources

Stewart has over 25 years of in-depth financial markets experience and has undertaken project finance (senior secured debt and corporate facilities), equity investments, commodity hedging arrangements and corporate advice to a large number of resource companies.

He has previously held senior positions in the metals and mining divisions of Macquarie Bank and National Australia Bank.

Stewart holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from the University of New South Wales and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
